Riding bicycles in the desert is kind of rad

What Even Is This?

Bike candy

Literally just a bunch of bicycle eye candy to start us off. The hope is to feature different types of bikes from different types of people. Issues of the magazine are available in limited-run prints, plus a digital version for everyone to access.

All bikes welcome*

Road, gravel, MTB, BMX, cruisers, clunkers - even pedal-assist e-bikes are welcome here and will be featured throughout future issues.

*e-dirt bikes are not welcome. They’re cool, but keep that shit on the ATV trails.

All the feels

Beyond the eye candy of cool bikes in photos, this magazine is also about the lifestyle of living and cycling in the desert. Deep thoughts, deep feels, and good vibes will be in all issues.

Inclusive & diverse

This magazine is a home for all, embracing diversity in race, gender, sexual orientation, and every facet of who we are.

Josh

Founder / Editor in Chief

Oh hello! I’m Josh, the one behind Desertscrub magazine.

I’ve been riding bikes for about 30 years now, growing up as that weird kid who rode literal hundreds of miles around the neighborhood each year. Soon that became thousands of miles each year as a teenager and eventually into my adult years.

Bikes have always been a love of mine, but so has design. With some design skills in my back pocket and the obsession of bikes - Desertscrub was kind of an obvious outcome.

I grew up with mountain bikes but these days ride road, gravel, mountain, even a level 2 e-bike for hauling groceries.

If you see me on a group ride in Arizona - say ‘hey'!

Sweet home Arizona
