Get There: Mesa Connector Route

Connecting from one city in the Valley to another is actually easier than you might think. This first map of the series shows the Mesa Connector Route - a series of multi-use paths and bike lanes connecting downtown Tempe to Downtown Mesa.

Most of the route is on safe mutli-use pathways (blue), but a few spots you will have to brave the Valley streets (red).

From Tempe, you start at the Watermark on Scottsdale Rd. Cross the bridge south and take the multiuse path all the way past Mesa Riverview. From here, it’s mostly bike lanes - a nice separated 2 lane bike lane, then the standard super scary and chaotic narrow bike lanes on 45 MPH roads.

I’ve found that even with the risk of traffic on the last stretch, it’s fairly calm and easy getting all the way to downtown Mesa.

Once there, join the CPR Group Ride on Wednesday nights (@CPR_mesa_ride), or Bike Mesa’s monthly downtown ride (@bikemesaaz).
